Dining out at a good friend's popular Italian restaurant, we were glad to find that the food was unfailingly scrumptious, but the service, unfortunately, had gone a tad downhill. When I mentioned I would give my friend a little feedback on the not-so-up-to-par service, my boyfriend suggested I just let the issue rest thinking that my doing so would cost the staff's their jobs and ruin their livelihoods. I, on the other hand, disagreed as I believed my friend would appreciate the constructive feedback as I knew he valued his business and the reputation of his restaurant very much. I wouldn't dare call myself his friend if I just turned a blind eye to the knowledge that his staff were failing him. When it comes to my beloved Ever Learning, if anyone would be kind enough to point out our shortcomings, I would be moved to tears.
